Water For Sale
SunWater's has been delivering bulk water in Queensland for over 80 years, and every day we draw on the experience of delivering in excess of 1.3 million ML of water annually to over 5,000 customers.
Through SunWater's strategic water infrastructure network and abundant water supplies in regional Queensland we provide water allocations for sale and/or lease (see table below for more detail).
SunWater's full storage capacity is over 6.7 million ML, of which around 2.18 million ML is available as water allocations for delivery to customers.
Resources Industry
As supplier of over 40% of all commercial water in Queensland, SunWater’s water supply network underpins the vital mining sector throughout the state.
With rapid growth in this sector, particularly coal and the coal seam gas sector, we have worked alongside commercial businesses to remain the leader in innovative and new technologies necessary to deliver secure and reliable total water management solutions.
Irrigation
Much of Queensland's irrigation community relies on SunWater's reliable supply of bulk water for their crops. Our bulk water delivery extends over 23 water supply schemes and ensures irrigators can manage their water needs all year round.
